Fertility & Insemination
Humans are made in so many different ways! We are here to offer support long before a positive pregnancy test. Whether you desire more information about available conception options, fertility awareness and ovulation timing, or you are ready to begin insemination (IUI or ICI) in your home, our midwifery care will always be tailored to your individual needs.
We operate from an assumption of fertility. We believe that most people who are empowered in their family choice, informed in their body’s fertility, and are planning well-timed inseminations or intercourse will become pregnant within 6-12 months.
Is Coyote fertility care right for me?
We believe the medical model of fertility, which often comes from an assumption of infertility, does not meet the needs of many individuals. Whether you have been labeled an elderly gravida, are a single parent by choice, transgender parents, queer families, or non-traditional families that do not fit neatly into a societal box, we see you as an empowered being, already fertile, and ready to create a family.
During our initial consultation we will review your health history to identify factors affecting fertility, discuss signs of fertility and cycle tracking tools, while together developing a conception plan that works for you. We will incorporate information about fertility-supportive herbs and supplements, seed-cycling, and pertinent lab work as appropriate. In order to achieve well-timed insemination, it is important to have at least 3 months of cycle information to adequately predict future fertility. During this time we are available by phone or email to review cycle charts, answer specific questions, or provide reassurance in your process.
Whether you choose intrauterine insemination (IUI) or intracervical insemination (ICI), these simple procedures will be provided in the comfort and privacy of your home. After placing washed sperm into your uterus (IUI) or fresh sperm near the cervix (ICI), we will leave you to quietly set an intention before you jump back into the activities of the day.
